We all know the storyline - Kevin gets left at home by accident and has to defend his house from bungling burglars Marv and Harry, getting an assist at the end from Old Man Marley.
Home Alone 2 is also included in the set and we know that storyline too - Once again, Kevin's family oversleeps, rushes to the airport and Kevin gets lost in the airport chasing a man into the plane terminal who, from behind, he thinks is his dad.
He winds up in New York and goes to the Plaza hotel where he outwits a bunch of bungling hotel staff. This time Marv and Harry break out of prison and chase him on the streets and he punishes them with his signature tricks after he takes pictures of them robbing Duncan's Toy Chest and he uses the abandoned house of his uncle.
He gets an assist at the end from the creepy bird lady in the park. Of course the family is together at the end. No issues with skipping or not playing like others mentioned.
I also love that you can get both classic Home Alone movies in one set and that it doesn't include the lame knockoffs Home Alone 3 or 4 with random kids like previously released Home Alone box sets.
Very happy with my purchase! The overall resolution of these movies is poor: blurry, and any movement nauseating. We are watching on a new 55 inch Samsung Smart TV.

I'm going to agree with previous reviewer "L. Velasco" and say that this collection is awesome, except for the picture quality of the second movie.
With Home Alone, you can tell that they took time to remaster it for the transfer to Blu-ray and although it still has that "early 90s" look to the picture, it is still a great transfer.
Grainy doesn't even describe it. Usually in a bad transfer you can just see some grain in darker scenes. It was actually distracting to the point where even my wife noticed it, and she's not an HD-snob like myself.
That being said, it doesn't detract from the overall enjoy-ability of the movie. These are still two of my favorite Christmas movies, and I'm happy to now own them on Blu-ray.
One aspect that really shines is the obviously remastered soundtracks on both discs! I have a better-than-average home theater system and it really came alive while watching these films.
The musical score was meticulously separated into all 5 channels and I heard details and LOTS of crisp, deep bass notes that I never heard before.
In HA2 when the pigeons come to get Harry and Marv, there were wings flapping all around me. The sound engineers did an awesome job with these movies and, for me at least, it was the most enjoyable aspect of watching them on Blu.
One small negative thing I noticed is that there were some inconsistencies in dialog volume where it was much lower than in the previous scene, almost to the point of needing to raise the volume to hear it clearly.
Overall, this was a worthy purchase, especially at the price I paid. I'm glad to have these two "classics" man, I'm getting old!
If you enjoyed either or both film s , buy this set. You will not regret it!! Home Alone 2 was simply a masterpiece. Hilarious, all the time.
One of my favorite movies. But Home Alone 2. Now that's a different story I see that they were trying to do a cartoons thing where people are hit and fall where they should have broken bones or even been killed, yet still live.
But since it's done with real people, and so realistically, it's nearly traumatizing. Kevin repeatedly throws bricks at the tall skinny guy in the forehead from the top of the building.
The blow would have actually killed him in reality. The short chubby guy wasn't hit once, and he is the one who deserves it the most!!!
